CDJ damage from dust and particles
Obstruction of the Laser diode either by dust and small particles that prevent the brightness of the diode and the return of the beam to the sensor so the CDJ cannot "read" and we often have interruptions in the sound or hangs as well as moving forward or backward in time in its attempt CDJ to reread different parts of the disc. Several times it can either stop completely or eject the disc or show some code or indication that there is a problem.
Damage to CDJ from Moisture
Moisture is another factor that causes damage to a CDJ. Moisture causes corrosion in components and usually in printed circuits (PCB boards) and creates interruptions in the circuit, short circuits, changes the resistance in a component or in the circuit's electrical current and signal transmission line. Also the buttons and controls of the CDJ several times either stop working or work without the operator wanting it to. Moisture is often found in closed spaces where they are not ventilated in club & bar dining areas, restaurants and other areas.
CDJ damage from rough use or misuse
The CDJ is often found in catering facilities which due to the conditions are often the machines that have been subjected to harsh treatment and the most fatigue. Usually problems are found in the buttons and controls on the disc loading mechanism and the laser diode from a lot of use.
